Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun

Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun A quick understanding with the word “ Terjun ”. It means, Jump in Malay. I like to use it because I don’t have a recipe to follow. I literally use what I have, can find and think I can add-in to make the meal complete. So, it is safe to say, I used Terjun recipe a lot. This particular salad is perfect for when you want to clean off your veges leftover in your fridge. The other night, both me and my husband want to have something easy, quick and simple. First thing came to our head is Burger King or Take Away Kebab Pizza. But, neither of them what we would want to eat. So, I went and look into our fridge. Everything is leftover. My first thought was to make fried rice. But I don’t feel like eating rice. I took out all the leftover and thought of salad with Asian twist. Anyway, what I used in this bowl are: Mix Spring Salads Cherry Tomatoes A handful of Bean Sprouts Paprika Carrot

Gelatin Mask

Gelatin Mask

I have tried many store bought blackheads remover masks. But nothing compared to a homemade gelatin mask! It's the most fun and get the job done without ripping your pocket!
For this mask, it is important to get a unflavoured (NO colour ) gelatin powder. It is also important for you to check for the ingredients in your gelatin powder (check if it is containing the ingredients that you are sensitives for).

A little background of gelatin.
What is gelatin?
Gelatin is a protein that produced by boiling animal parts (skin, bones ects).  It is mostly obtained from either cows or pigs.

Is agar-agar a type of gelatin?
Yes! Some agar-agar is marketed as gelatin. But instead of from animal parts, agar-agar is from seaweed.

Do you know that...?
You may or may not know that you actually consuming or using a product that containing gelatin. It is because gelatin is used in medicines (to coat your pills or capsules & ects), beauty ( shampoos and face masks & ects)

Set your hair back and free from your face before applying gelatin mask.

Peel the mask once it is dry. Slowly and carefully by holding your skin down with other hand.
Check-out that forest of blackheads!

You will need:
unused liquid foundation brush (the flat type)
1 tablespoon gelatin powder
1 1/2 tablespoon milk (you might need to add a few drops more to get the right consistency)

Instructions:
  1. Wash your face and pat it dry.
  2. Steam your face for a minute or two. ( Be careful with the hot water!)
  3. Mix the gelatin and milk.
  4. Heat it in a microwave for 10 sec ( it might be faster or slower for you. Depending on the power of your microwave. But keep you eye on it. It is ready when it turned into liquid.)
  5. Take it out from your microwave.
  6. Dip your makeup brush in.
Carefully spread it onto your nose. (Be careful because it is hot. Try a little to see if it is too hot.)
At this point, you need to work fast! Because the gelatin will cool fast and it will result in less efficiency.

Let it be until it is dry and harden before you can peel.

Have fun!
