It has been over two years now since we owned this air purifier. We still love, have it on all day and never have we ever regret to spurge on it even a tiny bit!

As sceptical as we were at the beginning, its changed since the first spring goes by!  Having this air purifier does make a big different especially to my husband. Spring is literally his enemy. Be it indoor or outdoor. neighbour has their windows open, ours close shut. Ever since we have this air purifier, things have change. A big thank to this air purifier.

If you wonder about whether or not this air purifier only works on pollen, the answer is No. I hate when our apartment smells funky. Mostly during the winter months. There is no way we will open the window to air out the apartment. All we did is to let this air purifier on all day. I also don’t like the smell of food when I am done eating. This somehow neutralize the smell.

Few days ago, it gave us a signal to change the filter. Finally!➨➨➨➨
I said finally not in a bad way. It is excellent! Why can it not? It has been over 2 years and we have this on for almost 24/7. The only time we turn it Off is when we are traveling for many days. Otherwise, it will be On all day every day!

Many review claimed they need to change the filter after 6 months. But in the instruction pamphlet, time for you to change the filter is when the indicator light turn Red. Ours just turn yellow after over 2 years! I can safe to assume that our indoor air is pretty clean. Because the dirtier the air the faster the filter gets dirty.

The only filter that get dirty too quickly and often is what they called as pre-filter. It is the fabric that hugging the main filter box. The reason behind this is our cat. A long haired tabby. She sheds alot and all year around. Mostly end of winter and end of autumn. Reduce the power of you vacum cleaner to low when you vacum the the pre-filter.

We washed the pre-filter every 2 months and clean off the cat hair with a vacum cleaner very often. The pre-filter can be wash together with your other laundry. But i suggest you use a laundry bag for this.

How this filter works?
Different from other air purifier out there, blueair sucks in pollen, smoke, odour and dust from every side and bring the clean filtered air out of the top. While many air purifiers have their filter on 1 side. Often is from the front part of the air purifier. While Blue 211 has 360° to do its job efficiently.

When to change the filter?
Yellow light indicates be ready to change and when the light is red, it is time to change the filter.
The pre-filter is to filter a big chunky material like pet hair, fabric dust, hair and ects. Just like shown in the picture.

How loud is this filter?
It has 3 settings. Setting 1 is the most quiet and 3 is the loudest. Listen to it yourself on the video i provided below. 
When this video was taken, i sat very close to the air purifier to capture the sound. Otherwise, it is very quite.

When we bought ours, it came with 1 pre-filter, in Lunar Rock (light grey). We bought the second pre-filter in Dark Shadow (dark grey).
The pre-filter has 6 different colors to choose from. But the light grey and dark grey is the most common and easy to get by. I'd like to get a yellow one!
