Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun

Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun A quick understanding with the word “ Terjun ”. It means, Jump in Malay. I like to use it because I don’t have a recipe to follow. I literally use what I have, can find and think I can add-in to make the meal complete. So, it is safe to say, I used Terjun recipe a lot. This particular salad is perfect for when you want to clean off your veges leftover in your fridge. The other night, both me and my husband want to have something easy, quick and simple. First thing came to our head is Burger King or Take Away Kebab Pizza. But, neither of them what we would want to eat. So, I went and look into our fridge. Everything is leftover. My first thought was to make fried rice. But I don’t feel like eating rice. I took out all the leftover and thought of salad with Asian twist. Anyway, what I used in this bowl are: Mix Spring Salads Cherry Tomatoes A handful of Bean Sprouts Paprika Carrot ...

DIY Rice Lips Exfoliate

I bet you have these ingredients in your kitchen ready. Just like my homemade gelatin face mask, this lips exfoliator also has minimal ingredients. You need 2 ingredients. Yup! Only 2!

Ingredients:

Rice
Mixing medium

Mixing medium can be olive oil, coconut oil , petroleum jelly or your lip balm (keep it as natural as possible).

I personally love to use my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. It has been my favorite petroleum jelly as my lip balm for years (you can use any petroleum jelly of your choice. Vaseline is good too). Petroleum jelly is easy to use than oil and less messy (i think). It did not spread outside my lips unless if i did it on purpose (clumsy proof! lol!)

Anyway! Here is how i make my lip exfoliator.

You can use a blender if you don't own a mortar/pestle
If none for either of them, then use your creativity. As long as the result is similar.
You don't need a lot of rice. Here in this picture i use less than a tea spoon of rice. It is actually enough for me to use to scrub my feet.

Grind and crush the rice slowly and carefully just like i showed in the video. Grind the rice until they are all turn into rough powder-like.

Take a tiny bit of the grounded rice and mix it with your mixing medium (thickness is to your liking).
Do not wet everything at once. Keep the rice dry in a container and wet it when you need to use it.

As a body scrub, i only use it as it is when my body is wet (before soap).
For face, i will grind the rice finer and add yogurt as my mixing medium (most of the time only water)

How to:

I apply a small amount of Petroleum Jelly on to my finger and dip it to the grounded rice with a soft press.

Dip for second time to add more rice.

Wet my lips with water.

Apply the mixture on to your lips and start exfoliate.

You can add more of these ingredient if needed.

Once you are done, wet a cotton pad or towel to wipe the residue off.

Apply lip balm on your lips to keep the new skin well moisturize.

This message you might already knew. If not, then i will inform you what.
p/s : Over exfoliate will damage your lips. Exfoliate 1 a week is more than enough. I personally exfoliate my lips 1 every 10 days.

Have a great day and happy scrubbing!
