Lancôme Hydra Zen Moisturiser

15ml sample size.  It's perfect don't you think? I wish more brand gives enough sample to try on before we could made up our mind if the skin care suits our skin.

I am glad that i was given this sample size as gift from a purchased I made to try on. I have been using and liking a few of Lancome skin care products. Hydra Zen has recently became one of them. I included this in my long-haul flight skincare since this particular face moisturizer has a very mild, subtle and most delicate scent. I hate to cause any inconvenient to others in a flight. No one want to sit next to a strong smell person.

I have dry skin type. It gets flaky and patchy on some area in winter months and even peeling at around my nose. Looks horrible when i have foundation on. 


I have been using this as winter night moisturizer. Since i prefer something with SPF as my day time moisturizer. 
On the area where needed more hydration, i will dab a little extra of this face cream. I wait for few minutes in between each layer. This will help the cream to properly absorb instead of over applying it and wasting the product on my pillow case. 
This cream like most of my face cream, a little goes a long way. I dot in 5 places (forehead, cheeks, nose and chin) and spread it all over my face. It takes few minutes to totally absorb. Remember, a little goes a long way.

Ever since  i had this included in my night time skincare routine, I have not had the dry and peeling skin around my nose anymore. My skin is now well hydrated all through the night. 
Another reason why i love this face moisturizer is because it has not cause any breakout and i do have a sensitive skin and prone to breakout if the it doesn't agree with any product i put on.

This is quite a thick cream. But not oily or greasy on skin.

-        -  Long lasting hydration. Leaving my skin looking dewy and plump. -         -  I can layer on this on certain area that needed extra hydration. -        -  My skin feels so soft in the morning and makeup application also made easy. -        -  Very gentle. Perfect for sensitive skin like mine. It has not break me out. -        -  It has a very delicate and gentle scent. This made it perfect for inflight face moisturizer because you don’t have to worry if your moisturizer may bother other passengers. -        -  I strongly believe that this has stood up for what it promised. “Anti-Stress. Hydra Zen”. It has not cause any breakout. It does deliver that extra needed moisturizing during the winter months. -        -  I always love Lancôme skincare packaging. It is very simple and very gives luxury feeling.	-  Will make you look oily if you have oily skin from the beginning. -        -  No SPF. So, this is not suitable to be use as a day moisturizer.           - It takes time to totally absorb. I make sure I apply my moisturizer ahead of time before I apply my makeup if I to go for a night out.      - Otherwise, I will have a problem to apply my makeup.           - Pricey.          - Heavy jar.          - It has floral scent. If having floral scent is big deal breaker for you, then this is not for you.

 

I personally think Hydra Zen line by Lancôme, is suitable for dry and very dry skin type. I have not try the rest of Hydra Zen product line. But i strongly recommend this particular one if you have the same concern like mine.
