Summary
I don’t even know why I complaint about the price. This thing works as
it claimed!
Overall rating 5/5 because I chose quality
over price.
Do I need to explain who is Dr. Murad or
Murad skincare is? I don’t think so. But
if you never heard of the brand or the man behind the name, the best way I can
say is, it is one of the best and high-quality skincare out there. To find out
more about the brand, you can check it out directly from their website.
I purchased this since I am using the
other product from the same line. So, why not use this in my night time skincare
routine.
A little background:
I have been having these two spots for few
years now, between 8- 9 years. It started small and the colour was lighter than
it is now. They grow bigger and darker over the years hence the search for
something to take them away. Permanently. So, come this serum.
I have tried a few products that claims to
reduce their appearances, but none have given what it says it would. Until I
gave Murad Environmental Shield line a try.
Start date: January 7th, 2019 and I
dedicated until May 3rd, 2019 just for them.

I don’t know if you can get this in Sweden
or other country. Atleast, not from Swedish online shop. I assume it is due to
the hydroquinone in it. Bought mine from Dallas. If you cannot find it or get it online, contact Murad maybe they can give you where to get this particular one from.
Product Claims:
• Fast-acting treatment featuring hydroquinone fades dark spots, age spots, and
freckles. Our skin-lightening serum also evens out skin tone to reveal a
clearer, brighter complexion while helping prevent future pigment formation.
• In just 1 week:
85% saw

89% noticed

85% noticed
improved skin evenness and brightness
81% noticed
improved skin clarity
• Hydroquinone 2% - The most powerful skin lightening
ingredient at the highest level available without a prescription. Clinically
proven to fade unwanted skin discoloration including dark spots, age spots and
freckles.
• Glycolic
acid - A pioneer in the use of glycolic acid, Dr. Murad discovered that this
ingredient is uniquely well suited to skincare because it evenly exfoliates to
make skin look younger and smoother. Through exfoliation, glycolic acid
enhances the penetration of ingredients to achieve better performance for
faster, visible results.
• Hexapeptide-2
- Skin-brightening peptide that diminishes the appearance of excess
pigmentation.
• Vitamin C - Antioxidant
with skin brightening benefits.
How to Apply:
• Massage evenly over clean face, neck and chest.
My Review:
Packaging: It comes in a simple transparent glass bottle
with a pump. Because of this, I placed it in my bathroom cabinet. Away from
sunlight and to keep it cool. I don’t really care so much if my skincare packaging
is simple or looks less luxury. What I really appreciate is when it came in a
pump bottle. A pump will help to preserve and keep the product fresh longer
than a drop dispenser. Also, it is less messy.
Texture: Clear thick gel-like serum.
Fragrance: It has zero scent and zero color.
Application: I used 1-2 pumps for entire face to my
neck. Because of its thick and gel-like consistency, this made it easy to apply.
It dries very slow. So, do let it sink for a few minutes before you apply the
rest of your skincare. Tips: I apply this serum 1-2 hours before going to bed. I
want it to properly absorb into my skin rather than rubbing on to my pillow
case.
Also, this did not dry out completely. It
will leave your skin slightly sticky almost feels like glue if you apply too
much. So, 1 pump for entire face. 2 pumps for face to neck.
If you never use any chemical peels, do
start gradually. Example, if you are using Intensive-C Radiance Peel tonight,
skip this serum. The point is to build your skin tolerance. I do not recommend
if you have broken skin since this is very potent.
Effectiveness: I found this to be very effective. Especially if you have a new spots. Since using this, I realize, my pimple marks disappears very quickly. Which usually takes weeks before this come along.
