Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun

Asian inspired Chicken Salad Bowl or what I like to call as Salad Terjun A quick understanding with the word “ Terjun ”. It means, Jump in Malay. I like to use it because I don’t have a recipe to follow. I literally use what I have, can find and think I can add-in to make the meal complete. So, it is safe to say, I used Terjun recipe a lot. This particular salad is perfect for when you want to clean off your veges leftover in your fridge. The other night, both me and my husband want to have something easy, quick and simple. First thing came to our head is Burger King or Take Away Kebab Pizza. But, neither of them what we would want to eat. So, I went and look into our fridge. Everything is leftover. My first thought was to make fried rice. But I don’t feel like eating rice. I took out all the leftover and thought of salad with Asian twist. Anyway, what I used in this bowl are: Mix Spring Salads Cherry Tomatoes A handful of Bean Sprouts Paprika Carrot

Summary
Apricot seeds and Argan shells is the main/key exfoliating ingredients. What it does is to loosen up any build-up product and dead skin cells from the surface of scalp which will promote healthier scalp.
Although it is an anti-dandruff product, I personally think it is also suitable for you if you use a lot of leave-in or beautifying product. Because shampooing your hair is not enough to remove all those products entirely from your scalp.
To have a gorgeous and healthy hair starts with healthy scalp!
Overall rating 4/5 because of the price tag and amount.

I was looking through kiehl’s homepage for skincare products and there it is, Deep Micro Exfoliating Scalp Treatment. I remember I was very intrigue by it the moment I saw it. I never knew that there is such thing as a scalp exfoliator until now. I immediately doing my online research. Found quite a few of mixed reviews about it. But not enough to persuade me to buy it. After trying on a few anti-dandruff products, I think I should give this a chance. Plus, the idea of exfoliating scalp is very interesting. I never did it before. Why not I start now? So, I did and surprisingly it does make a lot of different to my scalp health! I guess, skincare is not the only thing Kielh’s is good at!
As I was doing my research on this product online, I found out Kielh’s used to have dandruff shampoo that was supposed to be paired with this exfoliator. Not so sure why they discontinued it.

My Review:
Price: 210 sek from kicks

Let’s start with the packaging. Like the other of Kiehl’s products, this packaging too come in a simple and basic tube (travel friendly ✔, functionality ✔) . I don’t mean that in a bad way. I prefer a simple and basic packaging with high quality product. Moving on, I don’t think I have ever owned any product that has its details written on its very own package from A-Z. This one does! Very handy for someone as forgetful as I am. I don’t have to visit their homepage to find out again and again.

Let’s head over to the product. It comes in a gel form with a very visible scrubbing particle. I think it is the micronized Apricot and Argan seeds. My first thought was, this will scratch my scalp and make things even worse than it already is. But after my first usage, I admit I was wrong. I don’t even feel any sharpness on scalp. The matter of fact is, I don’t feel that I was scrubbing my scalp! It is very gentle than I thought it would.

Fragrance; it has a minty cooling fragrance. It does make my scalp feels cool during that 5 minutes of leave-on before rinsing period. Nothing too overwhelming though. Even if you are very sensitive sense of smell.  You can only smell it by holding the tube very closely to your nose.

Application; I personally applying this exfoliator once a week on a dry scalp. I will leave the product for 5 minutes as instructed before rinsing it off. Only then will I continue to apply my shampoo and conditioner. My first thought when I first rinsing it off was, it will be hell of a job to rinse it off properly since there are plenty of scrubbing particles to think of. I was proven wrong yet again. It took no effort to rinse off. I don’t find any leftover even when my hair is dry.

It is over a month now since I have been using this product. So far, it has not causing any bad reaction. My scalp has never feel so good in such a long time. As you can read on my old posts, I have been using a few products to combat my dandruff and excess sebum which had caused infection to my scalp (Read here. But I warn you for the pictures. They are disgusting). I strongly believe that this scrub has removes all those bad stuff from my scalp and helps my scalp to stimulate healthier cells.

Only as an anti-dandruff? I don’t think it is. I think everyone that using a lot of hair product such as leave-in or beautifying products should scrub their scalp once a while to prevent product build up. Mostly, if you use a lot of dry shampoo. Washing your hair with a shampoo may not be enough after a long period of time of using dry shampoo. But I don’t think this is the only way to exfoliate your scalp with. There should have some good home remedies scalp exfoliators.

Good for you to know; my dandruff was not as severe as 10. I had somewhere around 5 and even 6 at times. Kiehl’s did not however make any claim to be able to help with a severity level 10. But it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give this a try. You may even as surprise as I am. Like I have mentioned, exfoliating your scalp will reduce and remove any build up product which result in it may and even will help with the healing process of your scalp. Remember, dandruff is cause by fungus and they are thriving when there is dead skin cells. Dandruff is dead skin cells. If you don’t remove it, more food for the fungus. I do strongly recommending this to anyone for as long as you have no allergy towards any of its listed ingredients.
